Kathleen Everett, Ed.S.


Kathy has Education Specialist Degrees in Education Leadership  and Special Education and is currently working on her Doctorate in Education at Kennesaw State University.  She is currently employed as a special education teacher in a large metro-Atlanta school district.  She has taught preschool through middle school and specializes in inclusive education.  She has more than 26 years of experience as an advocate for people with disabilities specializing in building inclusive communities.  She has more than 22 years of expertise working collaboratively with school districts and parents to bring about positive changes for people with disabilities.  Almost 22 years ago, she was part of the catalyst that enabled a large metropolitan school district to implement a systems change for inclusion of all students.  She has worked with school districts in Illinois, California and Georgia.  Her strong commitment to working cooperatively with all stakeholders for the benefit of all children has earned her the respect of parents, teachers and administrators.  She has presented seminars and training nationally to parents, students and educators.   She is recognized as an advocate for people with disabilities, parents and educators.
